OCC loves kids!

Our children worship with us (God knows, and we know, that kids are squirmy - and we love that!). Our goal is to create a place where children are welcomed, loved, and known by name. This is a place where Jesus’ good news of peace and love is proclaimed, and where small & tall worship and learn together.

Partway through the service, we encourage children to join one of the ministers on the steps for a Time with Children, and then Kindergarten through 5th graders may join teachers for Children's Chapel and Sunday School. Middle and High School students help teach Sunday School and volunteer in our nursery, and are also encouraged to stay in church with their families. Middle school youth group meets after church most Sundays, and high school youth group meets twice a month Sunday evenings!

We offer childcare for babies and toddlers in our nursery. The worship service is broadcast into the nursery if you'd like to stay with your child(ren).

SUNDAY SCHOOL
MORE SUNDAY, LESS SCHOOL – GOD’S LOVE GROWS HERE!

Orinda Community Church nurtures and cherishes our children, and encourages them to love one another by inviting them to follow Jesus. We use a dynamic and progressive Christian curriculum called Shine! that engages children and their families in the community and allows them to experience the transforming power of God's love. The curriculum uses imaginative, interactive biblical storytelling to explore the meaning of the Bible and to examine God's call for us in the world.

All children are welcome and encouraged to join us!

Little ones under age 5 are welcome in our nursery!
